ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL by Obiorah Prince Emeka

DATE: MONDAY 2 NOVEMBER 2020

Having previously established the fact that nothing in life makes sense, until we find satisfaction in Christ. This demonstrates that Jesus is the fountain of true satisfaction. Now let us examine how to find true satisfaction in Christ.

SCRIPTURE:

The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek him shall praise the LORD! May your hearts live forever! (Psalm 22:26) ESV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

Jesus is the fountain of satisfaction, and in Him we are satisfied.

The outstanding decision to seek satisfaction in Christ is for our own good and for the glory of God. Any wonder, John Piper wrote; “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.”

There is no mystery to discovering how to find satisfaction in God. It is something that is perceptible. The truth of the matter is that we are made for God, (Gen. 1:27, John 15:16, Psalm 100:3). Our hearts and lives are made for Him, and nothing that we do outside Him can ever satisfy us.

HOW TO FIND TRUE SATISFACTION?

1.   Find pleasure in God’s word: If you find pleasure in God’s Word, then you’ll find satisfaction in God, because God is not only found in the Word, He is the Word (John 1:1, 14).

2.   Yield to God’s love: God loves us as a father loves his children. When we stop scampering elsewhere, and start yielding to His tender love and the direction He has for us, we will begin to experience true and undiluted satisfaction of the Father.

3.   Fashion a relationship with God: The reason you have everything in life and remain unsatisfied is simply because you lack a relationship with God. Upbeat your satisfaction level with a sniffing communion with God.

Finally, beloved, finding true satisfaction in God is synergetic in purpose. When we’re satisfying Him in our lives, then we’ll be satisfied and glorified in Him. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS:

Jesus is the fountain of satisfaction, and in Him we are satisfied.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Diligently seek God, make Him first in all you do in life.

PRAYER:

O LORD, help my life. May I find satisfaction in You, in Jesus name, Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD:

As you find satisfaction in God, may He establish you and be glorified in your life, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
