In life, everyone is desperately seeking to know what will make him or her happy. We all want to know what will satisfy the desires and longings of our heart. At first, some people thought it might be good job with fat salary, beautiful wife or good husband, great mansions, classy cars and living exotic life style. They thought all these would satisfy them. But they didn’t.
Some sought after all manner of quick and mischievous ways to make money and be rich in order to be satisfied. But at the end of it all, they are disgruntled and yet unsatisfied. So, the big question now is, where can one find true satisfaction?
SCRIPTURE:
For He (GOD) satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things, (Psalm 107:9) ESV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
Nothing in life makes sense, until we find satisfaction in Christ.
Seeking satisfaction in the things of this world is like chasing the wind. Once you’re finally exhausted and weary from your pursuit, you’re left empty-handed and disappointed. You’ve wasted valuable time chasing nothing when you could have been pursuing true joy and peace.
Beloved, in pursuit of satisfaction you may have tried everything possible, but you still feel an emptiness that nothing can fill. You feel you are still missing something. I counsel you, Jesus is the fountain of our joy, peace, hope and satisfaction. When we give Him a place in our hearts and obey Him, joy and peace will flow like a fountain continually from our hearts, (John7:38). Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS:
Nothing in life makes sense, until we find satisfaction in Christ.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Consciously retrace and seek for Christ, the fountain of true satisfaction.
PRAYER:
O LORD, I trust in you. Come and fill the emptiness in my heart and satisfy the longings of my heart, in Jesus name, Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD:
As you seek for God, may you find true satisfaction in Him, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
