Focus: Until Christ Is Seen in Me
🔥Theme:
The goal of following Jesus is not merely to know more about Him, but to become more like Him. God is continually forming the character of Christ within us.
📖 Key Verse:
“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” — Philippians 2:13 (KJV)
Devotional:
There is a deeper purpose behind everything Jesus has been doing in us. The changing desires. The transformed reactions. The hidden work. The lessons in humility. The call to love. The training in ordinary faithfulness. God is forming Christ in us. Sometimes we measure spiritual growth by how much Scripture we know, how long we pray, how many years we have been Christians, or how much God has blessed us. These things have their place, but there is a deeper question: Am I becoming more like Jesus?
Is there more patience in me than before? More humility? More compassion? Am I quicker to forgive? Slower to become angry? More willing to obey? Do people encounter more grace when they encounter me?
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Galatians 4:19 — Paul describes his desire for Christ to be formed in believers.
- 2 Corinthians 3:18 — As we behold the Lord, we are progressively transformed into His image.
- Romans 8:29 — God’s purpose includes conforming His children to the image of His Son.
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Transformation is rarely instant. There will still be weaknesses God is working on, attitudes He is correcting, and areas where we need His grace. But we should not remain unchanged. The beautiful thing is that Jesus does not merely command us to become like Him and leave us to accomplish it alone. His Spirit works within us, shaping our character little by little. The goal is not perfection overnight. It is progress toward Christlikeness. So, keep walking with Jesus. Keep allowing Him to correct you. Keep surrendering the parts of yourself He puts His finger on. Keep returning when you stumble. One day, may the greatest testimony of our lives not simply be what we accomplished, accumulated, or became known for. May it be this: People saw something of Jesus in us. Stay Refreshed!

🌿 The goal is not simply to follow Jesus for a lifetime, but to increasingly look like the One we have been following.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Look back over your journey with Christ. Identify one area where His grace has genuinely changed you, and thank Him for it. Then identify one area that still needs surrender. Invite Jesus to continue His work there without resistance.
🙏 Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for never giving up on Your work within me. Continue shaping my desires, character, attitudes, words, and actions until they reflect Jesus more clearly. Correct me where I need correction, strengthen me where I am weak, and teach me to surrender daily to Your Spirit. Above everything I accomplish in life, may Christ be seen in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🌿 Prophetic Declaration:
Christ is being formed in me. I am growing in love, humility, patience, obedience, faithfulness, and grace. I will not resist God’s transforming work in my life. Day by day, I am becoming more like Jesus. My greatest testimony will not merely be what God gave me or what I accomplished, but that the life and character of Christ became visible through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
