COME AS YOU ARE

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: MONDAY, 30 AUGUST 2021

Most of the times, we beat ourselves up, we give up on life, thinking that we’re the worst set of people that God will never forgive. We think our sins are too numerous, and we feel we are not qualified to seek the face of God. But we fail to recognize that God is a God for the imperfect, and unqualified people. Any wonder Jesus said in Luke 5:32, “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” So, come as you are, don’t condemn yourself, for Jesus has not condemned you (John 8:11).

SCRIPTURE: “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” (Isaiah 1:18) NIV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The sin you do not resist today, may resist your destiny tomorrow.

Beloved, do you know the first person that Jesus revealed himself to as the Messiah was not the religious leaders, was not the priest and rabbis at the synagogue, it was an adulterous woman, the Samarian woman who had been married for five times and was living with the sixth man? A woman that had made mistakes, a woman that was beaten down by life, an imperfect person (John 4:5-43). But when she met Jesus, that one encounter changed her life.

Now like that woman, too many of us are sitting on the sidelines of life. They feel like they’ve blown it too many times, they’ve failed and they haven’t measured up. But my counsel is, stop beating yourself up. You may have made mistakes, but God doesn’t love you less, He loves you more. He’s expressing His love to you today. You wouldn’t be reading this devotional if God wasn’t reaching out to you. Now, get rid of the guilt, shake off the condemnation, and come to Jesus today and your life will never remain the same. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: The sin you do not resist today, may resist your destiny tomorrow.

RESPONSIBILITY: Stop condemning yourself, take the bold step and come as you are to Jesus.

PRAYER: O LORD, I come to You in humility and sincere repentance, have mercy on me, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: God is going to show Himself strong in your life and family, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: Isa 1:18, Luke 5:32, John 4:5-43; 8:11

  • One important issue is that when you find yourself searching for a student loan you may find that you will want a co-signer. There are many conditions where this is correct because you should find that you do not use a past credit standing so the bank will require you have someone cosign the borrowed funds for you. Interesting post.

  • I do agree with all the ideas you’ve presented in your post. They are really convincing and will certainly work. Still, the posts are too short for beginners. Could you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.

  • Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

  • I’m extremely impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare to see a nice blog like this one today..

  • One more thing I would like to say is that rather than trying to fit all your online degree programs on days and nights that you finish off work (since the majority people are exhausted when they return), try to have most of your instructional classes on the saturdays and sundays and only a couple of courses for weekdays, even if it means taking some time off your weekend break. This is beneficial because on the saturdays and sundays, you will be a lot more rested plus concentrated with school work. Thanks alot : ) for the different guidelines I have realized from your website.

  • Thanks for your tips about this blog. 1 thing I would wish to say is purchasing consumer electronics items through the Internet is certainly not new. The truth is, in the past several years alone, the marketplace for online electronic devices has grown significantly. Today, you could find practically any kind of electronic gadget and product on the Internet, which include cameras in addition to camcorders to computer components and video gaming consoles.

  • Thanks for sharing your ideas on this blog. Additionally, a fantasy regarding the finance institutions intentions whenever talking about foreclosed is that the standard bank will not getreceive my installments. There is a specific amount of time in which the bank will need payments every now and then. If you are way too deep in the hole, they’re going to commonly require that you pay that payment 100 . However, that doesn’t mean that they will have any sort of payments at all. In the event you and the standard bank can find a way to work some thing out, the foreclosure approach may halt. However, should you continue to miss out on payments under the new plan, the foreclosed process can just pick up exactly where it left off.

  • Hello! Do you know if they make any plugins to protect against hackers? I’m kinda paranoid about losing everything I’ve worked hard on. Any tips?
