We don’t need any more evidence to know that the world is ruined by sin. And if we must tell ourselves the truth, we should know that it’s only our cry for mercy and tears of repentance that will save us. The Scripture says; “The Lord’s arm is not too short to save you, nor His ear too deaf to hear you call. But it’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, He has turned away and will not listen anymore”, (Isa 59:1,2).
SCRIPTURE: If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14) NIV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The ears of God are always open to the call of a genuine and a repentant heart.
Beloved, we’re all guilty. And we all must seek for the solution together. The time we’re in now, is not the time for apportioning blames nor self-exoneration, but simply the period of sincere, genuine and total repentance. Our anchor Scripture says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” This is the solution, the way out.
We all must humble ourselves, unaffectedly seek the face of God, and turn away from our sinful and wicked ways— and then God will hear us from heaven, forgive us and heal our land. We may have disappointed God in too many ways, but He is a loving God of another chance. So, let’s embrace this unflinching show of love, and with our tears of repentance, He will hear us. Stay Lifted!
