YOU SHALL DRINK FROM THE BROOKS
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: TUESDAY 20 APRIL 2021
It’s easy to lose faith in the course of life. We’re pierced on every side, but we are not crushed in any way. Because God has help where we least expect it. He provides for us in ways that go beyond our narrow definition or expectation. No matter how bitter our trials may be or how seemingly hopeless our situation could be, we should continuously look forward to God’s caring touch, for He will always supply our needs.
SCRIPTURE: You shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there. (1 Kings 17:4) ESV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: At all times don’t give up on God, for He cares and shall supply all your needs.
Our anchor Scripture demonstrates God’s unfailing promises and provisions to His people. King Ahab and the people of Israel were unfaithful to God, and God through His prophet Elijah declared that there would be no rain nor dew in the land in next few years. This caused serious famine in the land; so, God encamped Elijah beside the Cherith Brook, east of the Jordan, and as promised, God supplied all his needs while by the brook.
Beloved, I don’t know what has become ‘famine’ in your life, but I know we have a faithful and gracious God. It is a wonderful truth to know He will never abandon you to rot in scarcity. Just like Elijah, He never sends us anywhere to do anything without His presence and provision. The promise of Scripture is always “our God shall supply all our needs…(Phil 4:19). Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: At all times don’t give up on God, for He cares and shall supply all your needs.
RESPONSIBILITY: Don’t lose faith, but rather, unceasingly look forward to God’s caring touch.
PRAYER: O LORD, please remember me and favor me; don’t let me desolate in scarcity, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May God favor you and supply to you all your needs, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
