In the journey of life, obedience to God’s commands is a vital principle that can bring about a plethora of blessings. Obedience is not merely an act of compliance, but a profound act of faith and trust in God. So, as we explore the blessings of obedience, let us reflect on how our obedience can lead us to a deeper and more fulfilling relationship with God. And the number one point is “Alignment with God’s Will.”
SCRIPTURE: “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.” — Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Obedience is our way of aligning our will with God’s divine purpose. When we obey God’s commands, we acknowledge that His wisdom surpasses our own. In doing so, we invite the blessings of knowing that we are walking in His perfect plan for our lives. Alignment with God’s Will has to do with trust and surrender. It may also entail patience and a willingness to accept God’s timing. It recognizes that God’s plans often unfold in ways that are different from our own expectations, and being aligned with His Will requires acceptance and patience during times of waiting or uncertainty. NOTE THIS: When we align with God’s Will, we often experience a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose in our lives. And this alignment brings a sense of joy, contentment, and peace, even in the midst of life’s challenges.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, let’s continuously seek to align our plans, thoughts, and purposes with God’s divine Will.
PRAYER: O GOD, as we seek to align our plans, thoughts, and purposes with Your Will, give us the grace to always live out same in our lives, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord help us and guide us to live in accordance with His plan and purpose for our lives, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
