YOU ARE FAVORED TO REIGN

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: WEDNESDAY 17 MARCH 2021

Sometimes when we hear God’s favor, it sounds as if it’s particularly meant only for some set of people. But I don’t only want to tell you that you are favored, but I also want to shout it to you that you are favored to reign. You may say “I wasn’t raised from a wealthy family, and therefore, I don’t merit God’s favor”.

Hear this, God’s favor isn’t limited to who you are or where you come from. Even now God’s favor is locating someone; all of a sudden, a new door just opened, healing is flowing into you and your business is shifted to a new level.

SCRIPTURE: Remember me, O Lord, when you show favor to your people; help me when you save them, (Psalm 106:4) ESV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: God’s favor has a voice, it speaks for the voiceless.

In 2 Chronicles 22:10-12, after the death of king Ahaziah, one of the king’s sons should have taken the throne, but the king’s mother Athaliah decided she wanted to be the queen. She had all of her children and grandchildren killed, that way she wouldn’t have any opposition. Someone heard what she was doing, and they took baby Joash, Athaliah’s grandson, and hid him in the temple.

He remained hidden in the temple of God for six years while Athaliah ruled the land. But when the time came, he was crowned the king, and reigned in Judah. If Athaliah had succeeded in killing Joash, then the promise God made David, that one of his descendants would always be on the throne wouldn’t have happened.

Beloved, just like Joash, you are fovored to reign. You may’ve been overlooked, pushed down, and you feel like you’re forgotten; don’t worry, there is a favor on your life that will lift you up when life tries to push you down. Stay Favored!

NOTE THIS: God’s favor has a voice, it speaks for the voiceless.

RESPONSIBILITY: Be steadfast in your walk with the Lord.

PRAYER:  O LORD, show me a sign of your favor, that those who hate me may see and be put to shame, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: May the LORD help you and comfort, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

BIBLE TEXTS: Psalm 106:4, 2 Chronicles 22 & 23
