When the Secret Place Restores Your Fire
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Thursday, 14 May 2026
Topic: The Return to the Secret Place (5)
Focus: When the Secret Place Restores Your Fire
🔥Theme:
Intimacy before ministry
📖 Key Verse:
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.” — Matthew 6:6
Devotional:
There are seasons when spiritual fire begins to fade. Passion weakens, prayer becomes routine, and the heart slowly grows tired. Many people try to restore fire publicly—but true fire is usually restored privately. The secret place is where cold hearts begin to burn again. In quiet moments with God, strength returns, hunger awakens, and weary spirits are refreshed. What activity cannot restore, intimacy often can.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Luke 24:32 — Hearts burning within
- Psalm 42:1–2 — Thirsting for God
- Romans 12:11 — Fervent in spirit
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
The disciples on the road to Emmaus said, “Did not our hearts burn within us while He talked with us?” Fire returned through encounter. God never intended for believers to survive only on outward activity. Fire is sustained through ongoing communion with Him. So, beloved, when you return to the secret place, God often rekindles what life tried to extinguish. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🔥 The secret place revives spiritual hunger and fire.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Spend intentional time in worship and prayer today, not out of duty but out of hunger for God.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, restore every area where my spiritual fire has weakened. Revive my hunger for You and draw me deeper into Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
My fire for God is being restored. The secret place is reviving my hunger, passion, and intimacy with Him. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
