When God Becomes Enough in the Secret Place
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Friday, 15 May 2026
Topic: The Return to the Secret Place (6)
Focus: When God Becomes Enough in the Secret Place
🔥Theme:
Intimacy before ministry
📖 Key Verse:
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.” — Matthew 6:6
Devotional:
One of the deepest works of the secret place is learning that God Himself is enough.
At first, many people come to God mainly for answers, breakthroughs, direction, or help. But over time, intimacy changes the relationship. The focus slowly shifts from seeking God’s hand to seeking His heart. In the secret place, God teaches you that His presence is greater than what He can give. David understood this when he said, “Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire besides You.” This is the maturity intimacy produces—a heart that values God above gifts, platforms, or outcomes.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Psalm 73:25–26 — God my portion forever
- Exodus 33:14–15 — Your presence goes with me
- Philippians 3:8 — Knowing Christ above all
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
So, beloved, when God becomes enough, fear loses power. Comparison weakens. Restlessness settles. The soul finds peace because it has found its true center. The greatest reward of the secret place is not ministry. It is God Himself. The secret place teaches the heart to treasure God above everything else. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🌿 Intimacy matures when God becomes the reward.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Spend time with God today without asking for anything—simply enjoy His presence.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, teach my heart to desire You above every other thing. Let Your presence become my deepest joy and my greatest treasure. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
God is enough for me. My heart is satisfied in His presence, and my life is rooted in intimacy with Him. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
