When the Crushing Feels Too Much to Bear
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Friday, 1 May 2026
Topic: The Crushing Before the Anointing (6)
Focus: When the Crushing Feels Too Much to Bear
🔥Theme:
How God uses pressure, pain, and breaking to produce the oil of purpose.
📖 Key Verse:
Key Verse: “But you have anointed me with fresh oil…” — Psalm 92:10
Devotional:
There are moments in the process when the weight feels overwhelming. The pressure intensifies, the emotions run deep, and you begin to wonder if you can endure it. “Lord, this is too much.” Even Jesus felt this in Gethsemane—the place of pressing. He prayed with such intensity that His sweat became like drops of blood. The weight of what He was carrying felt unbearable. Yet in that moment, heaven did not remove the pressure—it strengthened Him to endure it.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Luke 22:41–44 — Jesus in Gethsemane
- 2 Corinthians 12:9 — Grace sufficient in weakness
- Isaiah 43:2 — God with you through the waters
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
So, beloved, God does not always take away the crushing. Sometimes He sustains you through it. What feels like too much for you is not too much for the grace He supplies. There is a strength that only appears in the middle of the pressing—a grace that meets you exactly where the weight increases. You are not being crushed alone. God is sustaining you in it. And what you survive, God will use. God gives grace equal to the weight you are carrying. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🔥 What feels unbearable to you is sustainable by God’s grace.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Instead of trying to carry everything alone, invite God into the weight you are feeling.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, when the pressure feels too heavy, strengthen me with Your grace. Carry me through this season and remind me that I am not alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
God’s grace sustains me in every season. I will not be overwhelmed—His strength is carrying me through. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
