When God Crushes What You Leaned On
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Thursday, 30 April 2026
Topic: The Crushing Before the Anointing (5)
Focus: When God Crushes What You Leaned On
🔥Theme:
How God uses pressure, pain, and breaking to produce the oil of purpose.
📖 Key Verse:
Key Verse: “But you have anointed me with fresh oil…” — Psalm 92:10
Devotional:
Sometimes the hardest part of the crushing is not the pressure itself—but what God allows to be removed. There are seasons when things you relied on begin to shake: support systems, familiar structures, resources, or relationships. What once felt stable becomes uncertain. It can feel like loss. But often, it is realignment. God will not allow anything to become your source except Him. When we lean too heavily on people, systems, or our own ability, God may allow those supports to be shaken so our dependence shifts back to Him. This is not cruelty—it is love.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Psalm 20:7 — Trust not in horses but in God
- Jeremiah 17:5–7 — Trusting in man vs. trusting in God
- John 15:5 — Apart from Him we can do nothing
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Because what you lean on determines what carries you. When everything else is removed, you discover that God was always your true source. And in that place, your strength becomes rooted in something unshakable. God does not crush to leave you empty. He crushes to teach you where your strength truly comes from. God redirects your dependence to establish lasting strength. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🔑 What you lean on will eventually be tested.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Examine what you depend on most and consciously shift your trust back to God.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, help me depend on You above everything else. Remove any false source I have leaned on and establish my strength fully in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
God is my source and my strength. I depend on Him alone, and my life is established on His unshakable foundation. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
