When Hidden Pain Produces Holy Oil
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Tuesday, 28 April 2026
Topic: The Crushing Before the Anointing (3)
Focus: When Hidden Pain Produces Holy Oil
🔥Theme:
How God uses pressure, pain, and breaking to produce the oil of purpose.
📖 Key Verse:
Key Verse: “But you have anointed me with fresh oil…” — Psalm 92:10
Devotional:
Not every pain is public. Some of the deepest crushing happens in hidden places—private battles, silent tears, unanswered questions, and lonely nights that no one else sees. These hidden pains can feel especially heavy because they are carried quietly. Yet God often does His deepest work in secret places. David learned worship in caves before he led in palaces. Joseph learned endurance in prison before he stood before kings. Jesus wept in Gethsemane before the cross. Hidden pain is not wasted pain.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Psalm 56:8 — God keeps every tear
- Matthew 6:6 — God sees in secret
- 2 Corinthians 4:17 — Light affliction producing glory
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, what breaks you in private often prepares you for purpose in public. The tears no one sees, the prayers whispered in weakness, and the nights of silence can all become the oil that sustains future calling. So, God is not absent in hidden pain. He is present in the pressing. Sometimes the greatest anointing comes from the deepest unseen surrender.
✨ Note This:
🕯️ What breaks you in secret may be preparing you for public purpose.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Do not despise private battles—invite God into them and trust that He is working there.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, meet me in the hidden places of pain. Turn every private struggle into strength and let every tear become oil for the calling ahead. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
God is using every hidden pain in my life for purpose. My private pressing is producing holy oil and greater strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
