WAYS TO ACCESS THE POWERS OF THE MORNING

Yesterday, we learnt that prayers said early in the morning has the power and ability to avert any wicked agenda of the enemy against one’s life. And commanding one’s day with prayers can give him the power to rule over his day. Today, we shall be looking at some of the ways to access the powers of the morning and how to achieve them.

 

SCRIPTURE:

 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed, (Mark 1:35) NIV

 

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

Morning prayer guarantees one access to God before men.

 

From our anchor scripture, our Lord Jesus rose early in the morning to have time to talk with the Father. As Christians, our main goal is to be more like Christ. So, it’s important to take our cue from Jesus when it comes to early morning prayer and devotion to God.

 

Ways to access the powers of the morning through prayers;

1.    Sincerely determine to wake up early; by making a conscious decision to sleep early at nights.

2.    Set a time to be with the Lord; possibly, set your alarm to wake you. Gather your pen, notebook and the bible ready.

3.    Wake up early and start with deep worship as you are led.

4.    Confess your sins to your Father, who is ready to forgive.

5.    Study and meditate on the word of God.

6.    Begin to talk to God, praise and thank Him for all He has done.

7.    Make your requests, commands and listen to Him for instructions and direction.

 

Beloved, make the commitment to start your day by talking to God. Make it even sweeter by spending more time in the Word, and see how sweet your day will be, (Psalm 119:103). Stay Lifted!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Determine to wake up early and pray and study the word.

 

PRAYER:

O LORD, give me the grace to pray, in Jesus name, Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

 

PROPHETIC WORD:

Every evil scheme against your prayer life is CANCELLED NOW, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
