If every Christian truly understood their identity and position in Christ, Christianity would be a force to be reckoned with in the world. It would change and reset our mindset to the very fact that it is only in Christ, that we can exist, succeed, lead a good and victorious Christian life and accomplish our God’s given purpose on earth.
The truth is that our position in Christ is to be in Him. It is our legal standing with God, as a result of our new life in Christ. So, for one to begin to understand his position in Christ, he must be a new creature, (2 Cor. 5:17).
SCRIPTURE:
But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior, (Philippians 3:20) NLT
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
Understanding your position in Christ is the key to living the dynamic Christian life with great power.
Knowing who you are and understanding your position in Christ is important since it empowers you to fully express that which God intends in your life, and also become what God destined you to be.
Beloved, do you know who you are in Christ? You are an overcomer, (Rev. 2:7). You are fearfully and wonderfully made, (Psalm 139:14). You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, (2 Cor. 5:21). You are soaked and covered in His blood, 1 John 1:7). You are untouchable for your life is hidden in Christ, Col 3:3).
So, now that you have understood your position in Christ, the next time circumstances will show its ugly face in your life or family again, just stand up and remind to it who you are. Never again will you be afraid of any situation, because you are highly rooted in Christ Jesus. Never again will you be apologetic to satanic empty threats. No charm will ever harm you. Alleluia! Stay Lifted!
