THE TRAGEDY OF PRAYERLESSNESS

TIMES OF REFRESHING

ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL by Obiorah Prince Emeka

DATE: MONDAY 28 SEPTEMBER 2020

A prayerless Christian is likened to a soldier without a firearm. Prayer is one of the strongest forces on earth that has the capacity to make a generational impact in a person’s life and destiny. So, substituting prayer is to short change one’s destiny and place in life.

Prayer is the authority of every believer. It is a medium by which God reveals His ultimate plans to man. So, when men stop praying, they distance themselves from the plan of divinity.

SCRIPTURE:

Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation… (Matthew 26:41) NLT

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

Any person who is lazy to pray is an easy prey to the enemy.

In prayer, we receive divine energy to subdue principalities and make lasting impacts in our lives and generation. Prayer supplies divine energy to arrest every orchestration of the enemy. It is a divine compass with which we map our world. So, when men stop praying, they loss focus and divine energy.

Prayer is not just an activity or what we do to scare the devil and his knights, but it is the life line of very committed heir of the kingdom. In Romans 8:17, the bible says we are the heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, therefore every heir of the kingdom must engage in prayer, for it is their medium of claiming ownership and taking charge what is truly theirs.

Beloved, it has been said that men that kneel before God stand before men. So, it is tragic to run your life, ministry, business on assumptions. Devil will give you ‘upper cut’ and pull to pieces your plan in life and destiny. Get down on your knees and pray. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS:

Any person who is lazy to pray is an easy prey to the enemy.

RESPONSIBILITY:

1.    Ask God for the grace to be consistent in prayer.

2.    Design a prayer chart and make it a point of responsibility to pray daily.

PRAYER:

O LORD, give me the grace to pray always, in Jesus name, Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD:

May God answer you when you pray and give you the grace to be steadfast in prayer, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

BIBLE TEXTS: Matthew 26:41, Romans 8:17
