The priority of a person makes demand for his place and position in life. Desire for God is an unquenchable hunger for God and yearning to do His will. Desire for God sets a man’s heart on fire for the work of the kingdom. He is determined in kingdom pursuit. He will stop at nothing, until the work of God is done. 

 

The truth is, the hunger to do the will of God at all times, is a function of a heart on fire for God. Desire for God determines advancement and development in life. Anyone who puts God first lacks nothing in life.

 

SCRIPTURE:

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need, (Matthew 6:33) NLT

 

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

Your wellbeing in this life and eternity is determined by your desire for God.

 

To ‘seek the kingdom of God above all else’ means to put God first in your life, to fill your thoughts with His desires, to take His character for your pattern, and to serve and obey Him in everything.

 

In 2 Chronicles 26:4-6, Uzziah, the king of Judah sought God during the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God; and the bible says “As long as he sought the Lord, God gave him success”, (vs 5).

 

Beloved, what do you desire most in life? Is it riches, career, people or fame? All these compete for priority. Any of these can quickly become most important to you if you don’t actively choose to give God first place in every area of your life.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Ask for the grace to desire God more than anything in life.

 

PRAYER:

O LORD, cause me to desire you in every area of my life, in Jesus name, Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

 

PROPHETIC WORD:

As you desire for God, may He do to you what you cannot do for yourself, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
