THE THRESHOLD: DON’T STOP AT THE DOOR, STEP IN (4)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Saturday, 26 April 2025

Focus: Waist-Deep and Wrestling with Control

Message:

Many linger at the threshold of revival but never step all the way in. This is a push into the Holy of Holies, into divine possession.

Key Verse:

📖 Key Verse: Ezekiel 47:5 – “The water had risen and was deep enough to swim in—a river that no one could cross.”

Devotional:

Waist-deep waters are dangerous to the flesh. Here, the river starts pulling harder—and you must choose: fight the current or flow with it. Waist-deep living represents partial movement but lingering control. You feel the pull of God’s Spirit, but you’re still trying to direct your own steps. It’s the struggle between self-will and Spirit-will. Many wrestle here because letting go means full trust—and full trust feels risky. It means losing the safety of having “one foot” on solid ground. But here’s the reality: The place of greatest flow is found beyond the place of greatest fear.

📖 Scripture Reading:

Proverbs 3:5–6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

So, beloved, you must decide today: Will you wrestle for control, or will you surrender for flow? Are you still trying to hold onto control while saying “Lead me, Lord”? Today, let the river lead. Release your grip. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

Control keeps you stuck at waist-deep. Surrender lets you flow into fullness.

🛡️ Responsibility:

  1. Identify one thing you’ve been trying to control.
  2. Release it to God today in prayer and faith.

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, today I release the need to control everything. I trust Your current. I trust Your plan. I trust Your river. Take me deeper—all the way. In jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

I will not wrestle—I will flow! I trust the river of God. I surrender control and step fully into His leading and His power! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

📖 Bible Texts:
