Yet again, the call to redemption is a call to life. Delaying and lingering our decision to follow Jesus is detrimental and could hamper one’s purpose in life. However, the invitation to come to Jesus is not confined by time or circumstance. God’s grace remains ever-present, patiently waiting for us to respond. But we should not presume upon this grace. The Bible warns us not to take God’s patience for granted, for the day will come when He will call us to account.
SCRIPTURE: What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? (Romans 6:1-2 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, beloved, today, the Savior stands with open arms, extending an invitation to come to Him while there’s time. It is a call to surrender our lives to Him, to lay down our burdens at His feet, and to experience the transforming power of His love and forgiveness. As we respond to His call, we find rest for our weary souls, healing for our brokenness, and purpose for our lives. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: It’s wise we embrace the opportunity to come to Jesus while there’s time, for in doing so, we discover the true meaning of life and the hope of eternity with Him.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, let us not delay, thinking there is always tomorrow, for time is fleeting, and our lives are but a vapor.
PRAYER: O Lord, give me the grace to respond to You as You call. And cause me never to go follow amiss, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As you respond to the invitation of Christ, may the Lord help you and empower you to follow Him faithfully, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
