The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord (7)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Saturday, 25 October 2025

Topic: The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord (7)

Focus: Living in Awe of His Holiness

🔥 Message:

The Fear of the Lord is not terror—it is reverence, awe, and holy submission to God’s majesty. It is the posture of heart that says, “Lord, I honor You above all.” To walk in the fear of the Lord is to live conscious of His presence, careful with His Word, and captivated by His holiness. Proverbs 9:10 declares: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

Beloved, this is not the fear that drives you away from God—it’s the fear that draws you closer, knowing He is holy yet merciful, mighty yet near. So, over the next seven days, we will journey into the sacred beauty of holy reverence—learning how this Spirit transforms how we pray, serve, love, and live.

📖 Key Verse:

Proverbs 9:10 (NKJV): “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

Devotional:
To live in the fear of the Lord is to live in constant awe of His holiness. It’s the awareness that every breath, every moment, every heartbeat exists because of His mercy. The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord keeps your heart tender, your worship pure, and your focus fixed on His glory. Habakkuk 2:20 declares: “The Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before Him.”

He is not a casual King or a distant deity—He is the Holy One before whom angels cover their faces and elders cast down their crowns. When you live in awe of His holiness, pride dies, self fades, and worship deepens.

📖 Scripture Reading:
Habakkuk 2:20 – Let all the earth be silent before Him.
Isaiah 6:1–8 – Isaiah’s encounter with God’s holiness.
Revelation 1:17 – John fell at His feet in awe.

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Isaiah saw Him high and lifted up, and it transformed his life (Isaiah 6:1–8). John saw Him in glory, and he fell at His feet as though dead (Revelation 1:17). Holy awe changes everything—it turns routine into reverence and familiarity into fire. The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord teaches you to live every day with holy awareness: God is here. And where He is honored, His glory dwells. The fear of the Lord is sustained awe—a heart that never loses wonder. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
🔥 Holy awe keeps your worship alive and your heart humble.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Take a moment today to pause in silence before God. Let your heart be still. Whisper, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty.” Let His presence fill your soul.

🙏 Prayer:
Holy God, I stand in awe of You. Teach me to live every day aware of Your holiness. Let my words, thoughts, and actions reflect the reverence You deserve. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I live in awe of God’s holiness! My heart burns with reverence, my life reflects His glory, and His presence rests continually upon me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
