The People God Sent Away
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Friday, 19 June 2026
Topic: The Things God Didn’t Explain (6)
Focus: The People God Sent Away
🔥Theme:
Trusting God when He gives instructions without explanations.
📖 Key Verse:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5
Devotional:
Some of the hardest things God never explains are the people He allows to leave. Not every separation comes with an explanation. Not every goodbye comes with closure. Not every relationship ends with understanding. Sometimes people you expected to stay leave. Sometimes people who once encouraged you become distant. Sometimes people who were part of one season are absent from the next. And often, God remains silent about why. This can be deeply painful because we naturally attach purpose to people. We assume that everyone who enters our life will remain there forever. But throughout Scripture, God often changed people’s circles as He changed their assignments.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Genesis 12:1 — Abraham leaves familiar relationships
- Psalm 27:10 — Though father and mother forsake me
- Hebrews 13:5 — I will never leave you nor forsake you
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Abraham had to leave his father’s house. Joseph was separated from his family. David experienced seasons where even those closest to him misunderstood him. Paul and Barnabas eventually went separate ways. The reality is that some people are assigned to a season, while God is assigned to the entire journey. When God removes people, it does not always mean they were bad. Sometimes their role in that chapter is complete. Sometimes God is protecting you. Sometimes He is repositioning you. Sometimes He is teaching you that your ultimate dependence must be on Him and not on human relationships. The painful truth is this: Not everyone can go where God is taking you. And God does not always explain why. But He remains faithful through every transition. The people may change. The assignment may change. The season may change. But God does not. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🤝 Some people are part of the story, but only God is the Author of it.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Release any bitterness, confusion, or disappointment you are carrying regarding people who have left your life.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, heal every place in my heart affected by separation, disappointment, or loss. Help me trust You with every relationship and every transition. Teach me to find my security in Your presence above all else. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
God is enough for every season of my life. I trust Him with every relationship, every transition, and every chapter of my journey. What He removes and what He allows are both working for His purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
