The Oil of Intimacy (5)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Thursday, 17 July 2025

Topic: The Oil of Intimacy (5)

Focus: The Midnight Cry

🔥 Message:

In the parable of the ten virgins, all had lamps—but only five had extra oil. When the cry rang out, “The Bridegroom is coming!”, it wasn’t enough to just look ready. The wise were those who had cultivated a lifestyle of intimacy, preparation, and extra devotion.

This series is a call to live like the wise virgins. To go beyond surface-level faith and carry the secret oil of deep communion with Jesus.

📖 Key Verse:

Matthew 25:4 – “The wise took oil in jars along with their lamps.”

Devotional:
Midnight is the darkest hour. It’s the moment most people are asleep, unaware, unready. Yet it was precisely at that hour the cry came. It was sudden, urgent, and loud. The Bridegroom was near—and only those with oil could rise and go in. The midnight hour represents more than time—it symbolizes the unexpected move of God, the shaking of systems, the turning of seasons. What you carry in that hour determines your response. The foolish scrambled. The wise stepped forward. They had extra oil. They had been preparing in silence for the moment of glory.

📖 Scripture Reading:
Matthew 25:6 – “At midnight the cry rang out…”
Romans 13:11 – “The hour has already come for you to wake up…”
Revelation 19:7 – “The bride has made herself ready.”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, God is preparing His bride for a midnight moment. The cry is rising even now in the Spirit: “Awake, prepare, trim your lamp!” You may not know the exact time, but you can be found burning. Ready. Intimate. Filled with oil. So, don’t fear the darkness. Let your oil light the way. The midnight cry is coming—let your oil make you ready, not rushed. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
Those who stay filled won’t be shaken when the cry comes.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Ask yourself: If the cry came today, would I be ready? Take time to examine your spiritual oil level and recommit to daily intimacy with the Bridegroom.

🙏 Prayer:
Jesus, awaken me. Prepare me. Let me not slumber in this hour. Fill me afresh with Your Spirit, that I may be ready when You come—burning bright, full of oil, and filled with love. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am awake and alert! I will not be caught empty. I live with oil in my vessel and fire in my spirit. When the midnight cry comes, I will rise to meet my King! Alleluia!
