The Intercessor’s Burden (5)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Thursday, 24 July 2025

Topic: The Intercessor’s Burden (5)

Focus: Watchmen on the Wall

🔥 Message:

Heaven is looking for those who will carry its weight—those who will not just pray for change, but through it. True intercession is not convenient prayer; it is costly, consuming, and born from a heart aligned with God’s own. This devotional journey is a call to rise into the priestly place of intercession—a place where God shares His burden, His groan, and His vision for the earth. It’s not glamorous, but it’s glorious. Intercession is how heaven partners with earth to birth breakthrough.

So, beloved, if you’ve ever felt the weight of a generation, the ache for revival, or the longing to see lives transformed—this burden is for you.

📖 Key Verse:

Ezekiel 22:30 – “I looked for someone… to stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land…”

Devotional:
Intercessors are not just weepers—they are watchmen. God doesn’t only call us to carry His burden in prayer but to stay alert, discerning what is happening in both the natural and spiritual realms. In Isaiah 62:6, the Lord says: “I have posted watchmen on your walls… they will never be silent day or night.” Watchmen have sharp eyes and faithful hearts. They see what others miss. They’re sensitive to the stirrings of the Spirit, the dangers of the enemy, and the urgency of the hour. And when they see, they speak. They sound the alarm. They lift up their voice on behalf of the city, the church, the family, the nation.

📖 Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 62:6–7 – “Give yourselves no rest… and give Him no rest…”
Ezekiel 3:17 – “Son of man, I have made you a watchman…”
1 Peter 5:8 – “Be alert and of sober mind…”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, to be a watchman means you cannot afford spiritual sleep. You must stay awake—rooted in the Word, consistent in prayer, quick to obey. You guard what God has entrusted. You stand watch so that others may rest safe. Heaven is still posting watchmen. So, will you take your post? Intercession is not just emotional—it’s strategic. Watchmen are warriors. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
Watchmen see what’s coming—and pray it into alignment with heaven.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Ask the Holy Spirit: “What do You want me to watch over in prayer?” Be specific. It may be your church, children, region, or a prophetic burden. Write it down. Take your place.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, make me a faithful watchman. Open my eyes to see what You see. Teach me to pray with precision, with passion, and with persistence. I will not be silent until Your will is done. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am a watchman on the wall! I stay awake in the Spirit. I see, I speak, I stand guard. Nothing will slip past me unnoticed. I am alert, anointed, and aligned with heaven’s agenda! Alleluia!
