The Ending God Was Writing All Along
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Saturday, 27 June 2026
Topic: The Chapter God Didn’t Skip (7)
Focus: The Ending God Was Writing All Along
🔥Theme:
Why certain painful seasons were necessary.
📖 Key Verse:
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” — Romans 8:28
Devotional:
Have you ever finished reading a great book and suddenly understood why every chapter mattered? The chapter that once seemed slow… The chapter that felt painful… The chapter that made no sense… The chapter you almost skipped… In the end, they all fit together. That is how God writes our lives. We experience one chapter at a time. God sees the entire story. While we are crying over one page, God is already writing the next chapter. While we are questioning one season, God is connecting it to a purpose we cannot yet see. Joseph could not understand the pit. He could not understand slavery. He could not understand prison. But standing in Pharaoh’s palace, he finally saw that every chapter had been preparing him for one divine assignment: to preserve life.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Philippians 1:6 — He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.
- Romans 8:28 — In all things God works for the good of those who love Him.
- Hebrews 12:2 — Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Ruth could not see that gleaning in a field would place her in the lineage of the Messiah. Esther could not see that her years of preparation would position her “for such a time as this.” Even the disciples could not understand why Jesus had to go to the cross. Friday looked like failure. Sunday revealed the masterpiece. How often have we judged God’s story too early? We call it the end because we have reached the end of our understanding. God calls it the middle because He is still writing. The greatest mistake we can make is closing the book while the Author is still holding the pen. God has never abandoned a story halfway through. He finishes what He starts. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
📖 You are reading one chapter. God is writing the whole book.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Refuse to conclude your story while God is still writing it. Trust Him with the chapters you cannot yet understand.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, thank You for being the Author of my life. Forgive me for the times I judged Your work too early or doubted Your wisdom because I could not see the ending. Help me trust You with every chapter—whether joyful or painful—knowing that You are writing a story that will bring glory to Your name. Complete the work You have begun in me, and let every page of my life point others to Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
My story is in God’s hands. Every chapter, every season, every delay, every victory, and every trial is being woven together by the Master Author. I will not fear unfinished chapters, because my God is the Author and the Finisher of my faith. My ending will declare His glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
