SUSTAINING GOD’S FAVOUR

TIMES OF REFRESHING

ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL by Obiorah Prince Emeka

DATE: WEDNESDAY 22 SEPTEMBER 2020

Previously we had carefully looked at some of the keys to activate God’s favour upon a person’s life. However, it is important to also know how to sustain God’s favour. It is one thing to activate God’s favour and entirely another to sustain it. Every believer should know what it takes to operate under perpetual divine favour.

SCRIPTURE:

You shall walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess. (Deut. 5:33) ESV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

Inability to sustain God’s favour is the reason for rising and falling in life.

When there was a door that opened yesterday and suddenly the door closed, was as a result of poor sustainable insight.

HOW CAN ONE SUSTAIN GOD’S FAVOUR?

1.    Continuous intimate walk with God: Scriptures says in Genesis 5:22-24; Enoch walked with God for 300 years. Enoch and God must have had some great talks as they walked. Enoch must have learnt true secrets of life. The walk was so valued that God took Enoch to heaven and did not allow him to die a natural death.

Beloved, do you want to sustain God’s favour in your life? Let your life be characterized by a meaningful walk with God; not an impatient or hurried run, but a calm and peaceful one. Take the time to get to know Him, to recognize His voice, to hear His heart through His Word, and perhaps even take long, uninterrupted walks with him every morning or evening. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS:

Inability to sustain God’s favour is the reason for rising and falling in life.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Desire to walk intimately with God every day of your life.

PRAYER:

O LORD, give me the grace to walk with You every day of my life, in Jesus’ name Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD:

May God favour you and yours as you walk with Him, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

BIBLE TEXTS: Deut. 5:33, Gen 5: 21-24
