HUMILITY: A MAJOR KEY TO ACTIVATE GOD’S FAVOUR

Yesterday, we learnt that there are echelons of undiluted favour that is always reachable to one who is consistence in the face of value and passion for God. Today, we shall look at “humility; a major key to activate God’s favour.
God’s favour is part of divine plan for man. This plan, however, can only be fulfilled when one totally depends on God and this is only possible when one lives a life of humility.
SCRIPTURE:
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time, (1 Peter 5:6)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
Humility raises a sweet fragrance that attracts and opens the doors of favour.
It is humility that allows us to acknowledge that God has a claim on our life as our Creator. It is humility that says, “I am a sinner, and I need to be saved”. It is humility that is the beginning of wisdom and only those who are humble see and understand the truths of the Kingdom.
God dwells with, provides for, and shows favour toward the humble. Not to those who want to share the same level of leadership and glory as the Almighty. In Isaiah 66:2, God said: “These are the ones I look on with favour: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.”
Beloved, do you wish to be great and enjoy God’s favour? Then, be one who is humble and realizes that promotion comes from God alone. Let us therefore give ourselves to God with a great desire to begin to live thus, and beg Him to destroy in us the life of pride, and to establish His life within us.

Let us begin to ask God to destroy every spirit of pride in our lives.
PRAYER:
O LORD, destroy every spirit of pride in me and establish Your life within me, in Jesus’ name Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

May God adorn you with humility and favour you and yours, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
