Devotional:
When I first began following Jesus, I had my own definition of success. I believed success meant reaching my goals, gaining recognition, accomplishing great things, and seeing my plans work out exactly as I imagined. I prayed for open doors, bigger opportunities, and visible results. As I continued walking with Jesus, He gently began to change my perspective. I noticed that He celebrated things the world often overlooked. He spoke about faithfulness more than fame, humility more than honor, and obedience more than achievement. The people He commended were not always the most powerful or the most admired. They were the ones who trusted God, served others, and remained faithful in both public and private.
Jesus taught me that success is not measured by how much I accomplish, but by how faithfully I obey Him. A person may have influence yet neglect God’s will, while another may quietly serve without recognition and bring great joy to the Father’s heart. Heaven measures success differently from the world.

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
This truth brought great freedom into my life. I no longer felt the pressure to compare myself with others or chase applause. My greatest desire gradually became pleasing Christ rather than impressing people. I learned that if I remain faithful where God has placed me, He will take care of the results. Looking back, I realize that some of my greatest successes were moments no one celebrated—choosing integrity when compromise seemed easier, forgiving when I was deeply hurt, serving without recognition, and trusting God when I could not understand His plans. Those quiet acts of obedience were never unnoticed by Him.
What walking with Jesus taught me is this: Success is not reaching the top of the world’s ladder. It is faithfully following Christ wherever He leads. God’s definition of success is not based on popularity or position, but on faithfulness and obedience. Stay Refreshed!

Heavenly Father, thank You for teaching me to see success through Your eyes. Forgive me for the times I have measured my life by the standards of this world instead of Your Word. Help me to value faithfulness above recognition, obedience above achievement, and Your approval above human applause. Give me the grace to serve You wholeheartedly, whether my work is seen or unseen. May my greatest ambition always be to please You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
