Rooted: Growing Deep Before Going Far (3)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Tuesday, 1 July 2025

Topic: Rooted: Growing Deep Before Going Far (3)

Focus: The Root Determines the Fruit

🔥 Message:

Before God launches you, He grounds you. This devotional series will help you embrace the beauty of spiritual formation, character development, and divine preparation. Like a tree, your destiny is determined by how deep your roots go. You were not made to wither under pressure — you were made to stand strong, grow tall, and bear lasting fruit. But first, you must be rooted.

📖 Key Verse:

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.” – Psalm 1:3 (NIV)

Devotional:
Before you ever see the fruit of a life, examine the root. You don’t get peace, joy, power, or purity from shallow, compromised soil. Just as a tree cannot bear healthy fruit without a healthy root system, a believer cannot produce lasting results without being rooted in Christ. Jesus said, “I am the Vine; you are the branches. Apart from Me, you can do nothing” (John 15:5). That’s not a suggestion—it’s a reality. We can only bear fruit that glorifies God when we’re connected to Him consistently, deeply, and sincerely.

📖 Scripture Reading:
John 15:4–5 – “Remain in Me… and you will bear much fruit.”
Colossians 2:6–7 – “Rooted and built up in Him…”
Psalm 92:13–14 – “Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish…”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
So, beloved, what are your roots drawing from? Are they anchored in God’s Word or worldly opinions? Are they feeding on truth or trends? Fruit is never random. It’s the result of what’s flowing underground. To live a fruitful life, stay rooted in God’s presence, God’s voice, and God’s Word. Your life will always bear the fruit of whatever your roots are feeding on. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
Don’t chase fruit. Strengthen your root.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Evaluate your spiritual root system. Where are you spending your time? What’s feeding your soul daily? Make one intentional shift today to feed your spirit—whether it’s time in the Word, worship, or prayer.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, help me stay connected to You as my true Vine. Uproot everything in me that doesn’t bring glory to You. Let my roots go deep in Your truth, so my life can bear the fruit of the Spirit in every season. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am rooted in Christ, unshakable and flourishing! I bear fruit that lasts—love, joy, peace, power, and purpose overflow from my life. I am connected to the Source and lack nothing! Alleluia!
