It is important to know that many Christians have become too spiritual that they rarely spend quality time with God at the place of prayer. And having previously established that spending regular quality time with God in prayer is subject to absolute commitment and discipline.

So, let us carefully consider other factors why many Christians don’t pray and proffer lasting solution to them.

SCRIPTURE:

… men ought always to pray, and not to faint; (Luke 18:1) KJV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

Power to achieve feats in life is received at the place of prayer.

REASONS WHY CHRISTIANS DON’T PRAY

1.     We fail to make prayer a priority: Men opt to pursue other things that are less significant and make them priority over prayer. This is proof of idolatry (1 John 5:21). The bible says, “seek first His kingdom and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33). Sometimes, we ignorantly substitute church activities to prayer. Church activities are good, but they should not take priority over time with the Lord.

2.     Inability to submit absolutely to God. Christianity is never a nickname, it is a total submission to God, portraying our lives to the life of Christ and allowing God to chisel our lives. So, not spending regular time in prayer shows our unwillingness for God to work and have His way in our life.

Beloved, we must not let things take priority over spending time with God. Let us learn to submit and expose ourselves to God in prayer allowing Him to do what He desires in us. We will be the better for it.

Stay Lifted!
