INIQUITY: A MAJOR FACTOR WHY CHRISTIANS DON’T PRAY

Iniquity has pinned many Christians on the ground and shattered their prayer life. They have become too lazy to pray, but very eager to see results. Iniquity is deadly and also a major factor why most Christians don’t pray. This grossly unfair demeanor has separated many from God. But after today, we shall overcome!
SCRIPTURE:
But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. (Isaiah 59:2) NIV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
Iniquity destroys one’s prayer life, and denies him access to God’s presence.
When a person is living in sin, he is less likely to spend quality time with God at the place of prayer. There is this feeling of guilt, unworthiness and lack of motivation to approach God. This is why we must at all times keep ourselves in right standing and immediately make things right with God when we have sinned (1 John 1:5-9).
Iniquity destroys a person’s relationship with God and makes him hide from God. Adam and Eve were enjoying a great communication with God, but immediately iniquity entered, they hid themselves from God, (Genesis 3:8).
Beloved, don’t let anything keep you away from God, not even iniquity. When we have sinned, let us run boldly into His presence and obtain mercy, instead of running away from Him, (Hebrew 4:16). Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS:
Iniquity destroys one’s prayer life, and denies him access to God’s presence.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Confess every sin and ask God for mercy and pardon.
PRAYER:
O LORD, hear my cry for mercy, wash away my sins and give me grace to overcome iniquity in my life, in Jesus name, Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD:
As you have confessed your sins, may God grant you mercy and pardon your sins, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
