Keep Me on the Potter’s Wheel (3)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Tuesday, 9 December 2025
Topic: Keep Me on the Potter’s Wheel (3)
Focus: When God Presses, He Is Not Punishing You
🔥Theme: Surrendering to God’s Refining and Shaping Process
God is the Potter, and we are the clay. His desire is to shape our lives into vessels that reflect His purpose and glory. This theme invites us to surrender to His hands—even when the process feels slow, uncomfortable, or unclear. On the Potter’s wheel, God removes what doesn’t belong, restores what is broken, and forms us into something new. As long as we remain surrendered, His shaping continues and His character is formed in us.
📖 Key Verse:
“But the pot He was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot…” — Jeremiah 18:4
Devotional:
On the potter’s wheel, the potter often uses pressure—His thumbs, His palms, His fingers—to shape the clay. Without pressure, the vessel cannot take its proper form.
In the same way, God sometimes allows pressure in our lives. Not to break us, but to shape us. Pressure reveals what’s inside, deepens our character, strengthens our faith, and prepares us for what He wants to build.
📖 Scripture Reading:
• Jeremiah 18:4 — The vessel was marred, yet the potter reshaped it.
• 2 Corinthians 4:8–9 — Pressed but not crushed.
• Hebrews 12:11 — God’s discipline produces righteousness and peace.
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Jeremiah didn’t just see the wheel—he saw the hands shaping with care. God’s pressure is always guided by His love. What feels heavy to you is purposeful to Him. So, beloved, if His hands are pressing, His heart is forming. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
✋ Pressure is not punishment—it is the Potter shaping you into something stronger.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Say: “Lord, I trust Your hands even when I feel the pressure.”
🙏 Prayer:
Father, when life feels heavy, remind me that You are shaping me. Use every pressure to form Your character in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am not being crushed—I am being shaped. God’s hands are forming something beautiful in me. Alleluia!
