Holy Interruptions (2)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Friday, 6 February 2026
Topic: Holy Interruptions (2)
Focus: When God Says “No” Without Explaining Why
🔥Theme:
Not every disruption is an attack. Some interruptions are divine. This devotional series explores the moments when God steps into our routines, plans, and expectations—not to frustrate us, but to redirect us. These “holy interruptions” often come disguised as delays, detours, inconveniences, or unexpected changes. As you journey through this series, you’ll learn how to recognize God’s hand in interruptions, respond with faith instead of resistance, and discover purpose hidden in disruption.
📖 Key Verse: “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” — Proverbs 16:9
Devotional:
One of the hardest interruptions to accept is when God says “No”—and gives no explanation. No warning. No detailed reason. Just a closed door. We often expect God to explain Himself. We want clarity, logic, and reassurance. But Scripture shows us that God does not always explain—He asks us to trust. Paul prayed three times for his thorn to be removed, and God said no. Instead of an explanation, God gave him grace. Sometimes, God’s “no” is not punishment—it is protection. Other times, it is preparation for something we cannot yet carry.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- 2 Corinthians 12:7–9 — God says no, but gives grace
- Acts 16:6–7 — God prevents certain paths
- Deuteronomy 29:29 — Some things belong to the Lord
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
A silent “no” tests whether our faith is rooted in outcomes or in God Himself. God’s “no” does not mean He is unkind. It means He sees what we cannot see. It means He loves us enough to withhold what would harm us—or delay us. Faith grows when we trust God even without answers. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🚪 God’s “no” can be as loving as His “yes.”
🛡️ Responsibility:
Release one unanswered “no” to God today without demanding an explanation.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, help me trust You when You say no and remain silent. Teach me to believe in Your wisdom even when I don’t understand Your reasons. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I trust God even when He says no. His wisdom is higher than mine, and His will is working for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
