Come To Me (6)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Friday, 29 August 2025
Topic: Come To Me (6)
Focus: Walking in His Rhythm
🔥 Message:
Life without God is heavy. Sin, shame, guilt, and striving weigh us down. But Jesus offers a better way—an invitation not to religion, but to relationship. His call, “Come to Me,” is the doorway to rest, healing, forgiveness, and freedom. Repentance is not about punishment—it’s about laying down the burdens we were never meant to carry. When we come to Jesus, He exchanges our heaviness for His light yoke, our brokenness for His wholeness, and our striving for His peace. This devotional series will walk through what it means to respond to that call—to turn from self and sin and find true rest in the Savior’s arms.
📖 Key Verse:
Matthew 11:28–30 (NIV): “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Devotional:
When you take on the yoke of Jesus, you begin to walk in His rhythm, not your own. Life in Him is not about rushing, striving, or competing—it’s about moving in step with the Spirit. Amos 3:3 asks: “Can two walk together unless they are agreed?” To walk with Jesus means to align your pace with His. Sometimes He leads fast—calling you to bold steps of faith. Other times He slows you down—teaching you patience and trust. The beauty of His rhythm is that it always leads to peace, not burnout.
📖 Scripture Reading:
Matthew 11:29–30 – “Take My yoke… and you will find rest for your souls.”
Amos 3:3 – “Can two walk together unless they are agreed?”
Galatians 5:25 – “Let us keep in step with the Spirit.”
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Even in ministry, Jesus showed us this pattern. He healed the sick, preached to crowds, and yet often withdrew to pray (Luke 5:16). He walked in a balance of action and abiding. That is the rhythm of grace. Repentance means letting go of your restless, hurried pace and choosing to walk in step with Him. When you move in His rhythm, you find lasting rest for your soul. Rest is found when you walk at the pace of Jesus, not the pace of pressure. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🔥 The yoke of Jesus teaches you His rhythm—grace, not grind.
🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Pause today and ask: “Lord, am I rushing ahead of You or lagging behind?” Align your heart to His rhythm through prayer.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, teach me to walk in step with You. Slow me down when I’m rushing, and move me forward when I’m hesitant. Let my life follow the rhythm of Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I walk in rhythm with Christ! My steps are ordered, my pace is steady, and my soul rests in His timing. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
