Come To Me (7)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Saturday, 30 August 2025

Topic: Come To Me (7)

Focus: Restored in His Presence

🔥 Message:

Life without God is heavy. Sin, shame, guilt, and striving weigh us down. But Jesus offers a better way—an invitation not to religion, but to relationship. His call, “Come to Me,” is the doorway to rest, healing, forgiveness, and freedom. Repentance is not about punishment—it’s about laying down the burdens we were never meant to carry. When we come to Jesus, He exchanges our heaviness for His light yoke, our brokenness for His wholeness, and our striving for His peace. This devotional series will walk through what it means to respond to that call—to turn from self and sin and find true rest in the Savior’s arms.

📖 Key Verse:

Matthew 11:28–30 (NIV): “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Devotional:
The invitation of Jesus is not just to come once—it is to live continually restored in His presence. His words are not temporary relief, but a lasting promise: “Come to Me… and I will give you rest.” —Matthew 11:28 True repentance doesn’t end at the altar—it ushers us into a lifestyle of abiding in Him. Every time you come, He restores what was broken, renews what was weary, and refreshes what was dry. David knew this when he prayed: “He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” —Psalm 23:3

📖 Scripture Reading:
Matthew 11:28 – “Come to Me…”
Psalm 23:3 – “He restores my soul.”
Acts 3:19 – “Repent… that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
The restoration Jesus gives is complete. He doesn’t just remove sin; He rebuilds joy. He doesn’t just lift burdens; He strengthens your walk. He doesn’t just forgive; He makes all things new. The invitation to come is really an invitation to stay—to dwell in His presence, to walk in His rhythm, and to live daily in His rest. In His presence, restoration flows—body, mind, and spirit. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
🔥 Repentance doesn’t just remove sin—it restores your soul.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ End this 7-day journey by writing a short personal prayer of surrender. Commit to keep coming to Jesus daily, not just when life feels heavy.

🙏 Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for restoring my soul. I choose to live in Your presence daily, carrying no burden but Your light yoke. Keep me close, keep me steady, and let my life overflow with Your rest. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am restored in His presence! My soul is refreshed, my burdens are lifted, and my life is renewed in Christ. I will dwell in His rest all my days. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
