Learning to Rest in God (6)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Friday, 26 December 2025
Topic: Learning to Rest in God (6)
Focus: Learning to Rest in God’s Peace Daily
🔥Theme:
In a world that constantly demands more, God invites us to slow down and rest in Him. This devotional series explores what it truly means to stop striving, release our burdens, and trust God’s loving care. As you journey through these days, you will learn how to find peace in God’s presence, rest in His promises, and live from a place of calm confidence rather than pressure and exhaustion.
📖 Key Verse:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
Devotional:
Rest is not meant to be occasional—it is meant to be daily. God’s peace is not only for special moments or quiet seasons; it is available every day, even in busy and demanding times. Jesus did not promise a life without trouble, but He promised peace in the middle of it. John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you.”
📖 Scripture Reading:
• John 14:27 — Jesus gives lasting peace.
• Philippians 4:6–7 — God’s peace guards our hearts and minds.
• Isaiah 26:3 — Perfect peace comes from trusting God.
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Daily rest comes from choosing to bring everything to God—our worries, plans, and responsibilities—again and again. When we practice resting in God’s peace each day, our hearts become steadier and our minds calmer. Peace grows when we keep returning to Him. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🕊️ God’s peace is renewed daily when we choose to rest in Him.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Begin and end today with this prayer: “Lord, I rest my heart in You.”
🙏 Prayer:
Father, teach me to rest in Your peace every day. Guard my heart and mind and help me trust You in all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I walk in God’s peace today. My heart is calm, my mind is steady, and my soul is at rest in Him. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
