Having an encounter with God, is more than a mere admiration to God or emotional expression. It is having a genuine and undiluted close involvement or experience with God, that will trigger undying transformation. No man will have a genuine encounter with God and his life remains the same, (Acts 16:13-15).
And this season of Christmas should be a period of an encounter with God. An encounter with the birth of our Lord Jesus should not just be only a period of excitement; it should change us and brings with it a call for genuine reflection and sincere transformation in our lives.
SCRIPTURE:
Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth…(Isaiah 6:6-7) NIV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
A place of encounter is a place of distinction and establishment.
There is a seemingly great relationship between one’s encounter with God and his elevation in life and destiny. Your encounter with God determines your elevation in life. So, let us look at few thoughts to note about encounter as it brings elevation in life.
1. Boundless secrets to unlock and uncover great mysteries of life are revealed to a person at the place of genuine encounter with God, (Jer 33:3).
2. Encounter is the secret of excellence and speed in life, (Gal. 1:14).
3. Encounter provokes purpose, distinguishes a person and establishes him in life and destiny, (Acts 9:15).
4. Encounter with God provokes the passion for kingdom service. Show me a man who is tireless about the kingdom work, I will show you a man who had genuine encounter with God. He will never stop until the gospel reached the end of the earth, (Acts 9:20, 17:2). Stay Lifted!

RESPONSIBILITY:
Sincerely make up your mind to encounter God.
PRAYER:
O LORD, I need an encounter with You in my life today, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD:
May you encounter God in such a manner that would turn your life around for good, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
