When the Vessel Is Placed in the Fire
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Wednesday, 6 May 2026
Topic: The Making of a Vessel (4)
Focus: When the Vessel Is Placed in the Fire
🔥Theme:
How God shapes people for purpose
📖 Key Verse:
Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” — Isaiah 64:8
Devotional:
After the shaping comes the fire. A vessel may look complete while still soft, but until it passes through fire, it is not strong enough to be used. The fire hardens what was formed and makes it able to endure pressure. In the same way, God allows seasons of testing. The fire may come as trials, opposition, delays, or situations that stretch your faith beyond comfort. It can feel intense and uncomfortable—but it is necessary. Without the fire, the vessel remains fragile. With the fire, the vessel becomes durable.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Daniel 3:23–27 — God in the fire
- 1 Peter 1:6–7 — Faith refined by fire
- Isaiah 43:2 — God with you through the fire
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Daniel’s friends were thrown into a fiery furnace, yet God was with them in the fire. They came out not destroyed—but strengthened and untouched by what was meant to harm them. So, beloved, God does not abandon you in the fire. He walks with you through it. And what you come out as will be stronger than what you were before. The fire strengthens what God has shaped. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🔥 Fire does not destroy God’s vessel—it refines it.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Trust God in the fire—He is strengthening you, not abandoning you.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, when I walk through the fire, remind me that You are with me. Strengthen my faith and refine my life for Your purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
God is with me in every trial. The fire is refining me, strengthening me, and preparing me for His purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
