“This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.” — Luke 12:21
Devotional:
At the end of all our searching, achieving, building, and acquiring, the heart eventually comes face-to-face with one question: Is Jesus truly enough for me? It is easy to say Christ is enough when life is going according to plan. But sometimes we discover His sufficiency when something we deeply desire remains beyond our reach. Paul knew both abundance and lack. He experienced seasons of having plenty and seasons of having little. Yet he discovered a secret deeper than changing circumstances: his contentment was rooted in Christ.
This does not mean we stop dreaming, building, praying, or pursuing meaningful goals. It means those things no longer determine whether our souls are at peace.
There is a freedom that comes when the heart can say, “Lord, I still have desires. I still have prayers. I still have dreams. But even before they are fulfilled, I have You.” That is true wealth.

The world teaches us that we need one more thing to finally be satisfied. Jesus teaches us that life does not consist in the abundance of what we possess. You may not have everything you desire, but if you have Christ, you possess a treasure this world cannot give and circumstances cannot take away. This is where our journey through this series brings us.
Not to the rejection of money. Not to the rejection of success. Not to the rejection of God’s blessings. But to their proper place. Enjoy the gifts—but treasure the Giver. Pursue your dreams—but pursue Christ more. Build your life—but build it around Jesus.
Because the greatest poverty is having everything except God. And the greatest wealth is being able to say: Give me Jesus. Stay Refreshed!

Bring your desires, ambitions, and unanswered prayers before God today. Continue praying and pursuing what He has placed in your heart, but surrender your happiness to Christ. Practice saying sincerely: “Lord, whether I have little or plenty, keep my heart satisfied in You.”
🙏 Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that my deepest satisfaction is found in You. Teach me to enjoy Your blessings without making them my source of happiness. Whether I have little or plenty, fulfilled desires or unanswered prayers, let Jesus remain enough for me. May my heart always treasure the Giver above every gift. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Jesus Christ is my greatest treasure. My joy will not depend on possessions, success, recognition, or circumstances. I will pursue God’s purpose without allowing earthly things to possess my heart. Whether I have little or plenty, Christ is my portion, Christ is my satisfaction, and Christ is enough for me. Give me Jesus! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
