Devotional:
After the waiting, the hunger, the prayer, and the unity—suddenly, the fire came. Acts 2 says there came a sound from heaven like a rushing mighty wind, and tongues of fire rested upon them all. What had been promised in secret was now manifest publicly. The fire did not fall randomly. It fell on prepared hearts. The Upper Room teaches us that God honors persistent pursuit. Heaven responds to surrendered people who make room for His presence.
