When Fire Turns Ordinary People Into Witnesses

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Friday, 22 May 2026

Topic: The Upper Room Generation (6)

Focus: When Fire Turns Ordinary People Into Witnesses

🔥Theme:

Tarrying, prayer, unity, and fresh Pentecost fire

📖 Key Verse:
“They all joined together constantly in prayer…”Acts 1:14

Devotional:

The people in the Upper Room were ordinary men and women. They had weaknesses, fears, doubts, and limitations. Yet when the fire of God fell upon them, everything changed. Peter, who once denied Jesus publicly, now stood boldly before crowds. Fear gave way to courage. Weakness gave way to power. That is what the fire of God does. God does not wait for perfect people before He moves. He transforms willing people through His presence. The fire of the Holy Spirit empowers ordinary lives to carry extraordinary purpose.

📖 Scripture Reading:

  • Acts 2:14 — Peter speaks boldly
  • Acts 4:31 — Filled with boldness through the Spirit
  • 2 Timothy 1:7 — Spirit of power, love, and sound mind

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

The Upper Room reminds us that revival is not about human greatness—it is about divine empowerment. Fire turns timid hearts into bold witnesses. Fire awakens sleeping gifts. Fire gives strength to carry God’s message with conviction. God still desires to raise a generation that burns brightly for Him in a dark world. The fire of God empowers ordinary people for extraordinary purpose.

Note This:

🔥 God’s fire transforms fear into boldness.

🛡️ Responsibility:

Ask God to use your life boldly instead of shrinking back in fear or insecurity.

🙏 Prayer:

Father, fill me with fresh boldness through Your Spirit. Use my life for Your glory and help me carry Your truth with courage and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

The fire of God is transforming my life. I walk in boldness, power, and purpose through the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
