When Others Arrive Before You

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Wednesday, 22 April 2026

Topic: Delayed Destiny (4)

Focus: When Others Arrive Before You

🔥Theme:

Trusting God when the promise takes longer than expected.

📖 Key Verse:
Key Verse: “Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”Habakkuk 2:3

Devotional:

One of the quiet struggles of delayed destiny is watching others arrive where you thought you would be by now. You see people moving forward, receiving opportunities, stepping into blessings, and reaching milestones you have prayed for. Meanwhile, you feel like you are still waiting. Comparison can quietly poison faith. It whispers: Maybe I missed my moment. Maybe God forgot me. Maybe my time has passed. But destiny is not a race. God does not write identical stories. Joseph’s timeline was different from David’s. Abraham’s waiting was different from Moses’. Delay in your life does not mean denial—it means your process is unique.

📖 Scripture Reading:

  • John 21:21–22 — What is that to you? Follow Me
  • Galatians 6:4–5 — Each person carries their own assignment
  • Psalm 139:16 — All your days were written

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

Beloved, God is not late with your life. He is intentional with your timing. What belongs to you will not be stolen by someone else’s progress. Faith grows when you stop measuring your journey against others and trust the Author of your own story. So, your destiny is not behind schedule—it is unfolding by divine timing. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

God is never late with your life.

🛡️ Responsibility:

Celebrate someone else’s progress today without comparing it to your own.

🙏 Prayer:

Father, remove comparison from my heart. Help me trust Your timing for my life and remain faithful in my own journey. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

My destiny is in God’s hands. I trust His timing, and what He has prepared for me will come at the right moment. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
