Date: Thursday, 18 December 2025
Topic: When God Says ‘Wait (5)
Focus: Waiting Protects You From Moving Too Soon
🔥Theme: When God Says “Wait”
Waiting seasons can feel confusing, slow, and uncomfortable, yet they are often the places where God does His deepest work. This devotional series explores why God sometimes asks us to wait and what He is doing during those quiet, in-between moments. Through Scripture and reflection, we will learn how to trust God’s timing, find strength in the waiting, and recognize that divine delays are purposeful—not wasted. So, beloved, as you walk through this series, expect your perspective on waiting to shift from frustration to faith, and from impatience to peace.
📖 Key Verse:
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…” — Isaiah 40:31
Devotional:
Sometimes God asks us to wait because moving too soon can cause harm. We may be eager to step forward, but God sees dangers we cannot see. The Israelites learned this when they tried to enter the Promised Land without God’s direction—and it ended in defeat. Waiting would have saved them from unnecessary pain.
📖 Scripture Reading:
• Numbers 14:39–45 — Moving without God leads to defeat.
• Proverbs 19:2 — Zeal without knowledge is dangerous.
• Psalm 127:1 — Without the Lord, labor is in vain.
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
So, beloved, when God says “wait,” He is not withholding good things. He is protecting you from stepping into something unprepared, mistimed, or incomplete. Waiting keeps you covered under God’s guidance. Delay is often God’s protection, not His punishment. Waiting can save you from mistakes that would cost you later. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🛑 God’s “wait” is often His way of guarding you.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Ask today: “Lord, am I waiting where You want me to wait?”
🙏 Prayer:
Father, help me resist rushing ahead. Teach me to wait for Your direction and trust that You are protecting me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I will not move ahead of God. His timing protects and leads me into peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
