Sometimes the hardest moments in faith are not when God is absent—but when He does something we did not expect. He delays when we thought He would act. He allows what we thought He would prevent. He answers differently than we prayed. These moments can quietly shake our expectations of who God is and how He works.

Devotional:
We all carry expectations of how God should move. We imagine how He will answer, when He will act, and what the outcome will look like. But sometimes God moves differently. John the Baptist expected a certain kind of Messiah—yet when Jesus did not match that expectation, he questioned. From prison, he asked, “Are You the One?” Jesus responded, not with explanation, but with evidence of His works—and a gentle warning: “Blessed is anyone who does not stumble because of me.”
