When God Breaks Your Plans to Reveal His
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Monday, 13 April 2026
Topic: When God Breaks What You Built (2)
Focus: When God Breaks Your Plans to Reveal His
🔥Theme:
Trusting God when what you worked hard to build suddenly collapses.
📖 Key Verse:
Key Verse: “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” — Psalm 127:1
Devotional:
Few things feel more frustrating than watching carefully made plans fall apart. You prayed about them, thought them through, and worked hard to make them succeed—yet somehow they still collapsed. When plans break, it can feel like failure. But sometimes God allows our plans to break because they were never meant to carry His purpose. We see a small portion of the future; God sees the entire path. What looks like a setback to us may be God clearing the way for something far greater.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Proverbs 19:21 — God’s purpose prevails
- Genesis 50:20 — God turns situations for good
- Isaiah 55:8–9 — God’s ways higher than ours
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Joseph planned a normal life with his family—but prison became the path that positioned him for leadership. His plans were broken, but God’s plan was unfolding.
God does not destroy your plans to harm you. He breaks them when He intends to reveal something better. When our plans fall apart, it creates space for God’s wisdom to lead. Broken plans can reveal God’s greater purpose. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🧭 When your plan ends, God’s direction begins.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Surrender one broken plan today and ask God what He is leading you toward instead.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, when my plans break apart, help me trust that Your plans are greater. Guide my steps and align my heart with Your purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
God’s purpose for my life will prevail. Even when my plans change, His direction leads me forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
