When God Begins the Shaping
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Sunday, 3 May 2026
Topic: The Making of a Vessel (1)
Focus: When God Begins the Shaping
🔥Theme:
How God shapes people for purpose
📖 Key Verse:
Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” — Isaiah 64:8
Devotional:
Every vessel begins as clay—unformed, unshaped, and without structure. When God begins His work in your life, it may not look impressive. It may feel like small beginnings, quiet seasons, or even confusion. But this is where shaping starts. The potter does not rush the clay. He carefully molds it with intention, pressing and forming it into what it is meant to become. In the same way, God begins shaping your life according to a design only He fully sees.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Jeremiah 18:1–6 — The potter and the clay
- Isaiah 64:8 — God the potter
- Ephesians 2:10 — Created for good works
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
So, beloved, at this stage, you may not understand what God is doing. But shaping always comes before revealing. God is not guessing with your life. He is forming you with purpose. God begins shaping long before purpose becomes visible. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🫱🏾🫲🏽 You are not random—you are being formed.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Trust God in early and unclear seasons—He is shaping more than you can see.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, shape my life according to Your purpose. Help me trust Your process even when I do not fully understand what You are doing. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am in the hands of the Potter. God is shaping my life with purpose, and His design for me will be fulfilled. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
