When God Allows the Pressure
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Sunday, 26 April 2026
Topic: The Crushing Before the Anointing (1)
Focus: When God Allows the Pressure
🔥Theme:
How God uses pressure, pain, and breaking to produce the oil of purpose.
📖 Key Verse:
Key Verse: “But you have anointed me with fresh oil…” — Psalm 92:10
🌅 Series Introduction
Oil does not come without crushing.
Olives must be pressed before oil flows. In the same way, God often allows seasons of pressure, breaking, and hidden pain before the release of greater purpose and anointing.
Many people want the oil, but few understand the crushing. We pray for elevation, impact, and calling—but God first prepares the vessel through surrender, humility, and fire.
The crushing is not punishment.
It is preparation.
This series explores the painful but powerful process God uses to refine His people before release. What feels like breaking may actually be the making of your anointing.
🔥 Sometimes the pressure is proof that oil is coming.
Devotional:
Pressure is uncomfortable. It stretches emotions, exposes weakness, and makes us ask hard questions. Why is this happening? Why does it feel so heavy? Yet in God’s hands, pressure is often part of preparation. Olive oil is produced through pressing. Without pressure, the oil remains hidden. Many times, the greatest seasons of growth come through the heaviest seasons of pressure. God uses challenges to reveal what is inside us and to produce what could not come any other way.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Luke 22:44 — Jesus in Gethsemane
- James 1:2–4 — Trials produce maturity
- Romans 5:3–4 — Pressure produces character
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Joseph faced pressure in prison. David faced pressure in caves. Jesus faced pressure in Gethsemane—the place of pressing. Pressure is not always a sign that something is wrong. Sometimes it is proof that God is producing something deeper. The pressing is painful, but the oil is valuable. Pressure often reveals and produces the oil of purpose. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🫒 No oil flows without pressing.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Instead of asking only “Why this pressure?” ask God, “What are You producing in me?”
🙏 Prayer:
Father, help me trust You in seasons of pressure. Teach me to see the purpose in the pressing and allow Your work to be completed in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
God is using every pressure in my life for purpose. The crushing is producing fresh oil and greater strength in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
