WAYS TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIME
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: THURSDAY, 31 MARCH 2022
It has been established that time is an asset, and whatever we spend it on, once it’s spent, we can never get it back. So, as crucial as it maybe we need to understand ways we can make most of our time. And one way we can achieve that is to ‘partner with God’. Any wonder Jesus said, “… apart from me, you can do nothing”.
SCRIPTURE: I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. (John 15:5 AMP)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: When we partner with God, we are more effective and yet fruitful, but otherwise we are busy doing nothing. Partnering with God means walking with God, leaning, and depending on Him for help. It means being patient with God, waiting upon His promises and connecting to His purpose for our life. When we refuse to wait and depend on God and try to make something happen that only God can make happen, we are producing dead works.
We can see this clearly with Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 17. They wanted to have a child and God had promised them that they would have a child. But they got tired of waiting and came up with a plan of their own, but that didn’t work. Many times, beloved, we do the exact same thing. When we want to change something, we can find a thousand different ways to try to make it happen. We are busy finding a substitute to God’s factor, but in the end, we would achieve nothing. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When we partner with God, we are more effective and yet fruitful, but otherwise we are busy doing nothing.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, in everything we do in life, we must learn to get God involved it, by always leaning on Him for help and direction.
PRAYER: O LORD, thank you for your Word. Give me the grace to always partner with You in everything I do in life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you learn to partner with God, may your plans in life never suffer havoc, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: John 15:5, Gen 17
