WAYS TO LIVE IN PEACE NOT FEAR
TIMES OF REFRESHING
ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL by Obiorah Prince Emeka
DATE: SATURDAY 19 DECEMBER 2020
Yesterday, it was established that the presence of fear in a person’s life is a function of doubt to the Word of God, and distrust to the promises and power God over his life. We also recognized the fact that as Christians, we ought to be bold and fearless; for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind, (2 Tim. 1:7).
So today, we shall be looking at ways one can live in peace and not fear even in the midst of troubles.
SCRIPTURE:
I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears, (Psalms 34:4) NKJV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
In every prospect to fear, there would always be a clear prospect to trust God.
Fear brings confusion in our hearts and minds. When we are filled with so much fear, we can’t think properly. It seems everything that we do is subject to danger. We are constantly stricken with the thought that things can go wrong. So, what can one do to overcome fear and live in peace? You must;
i. Submit your fear to God and trust in Him, Psm. 56: 3-4).
ii. Dwell continually under God’s secret place, (Psm. 91:1).
iii. Be strong and of good courage, (Josh. 1:9, Deut. 31:6).
iv. Have God on your side and always walk with Him, (Psm 118:6).
Beloved, it is God’s unaffectedly desire that we live in peace, casting all our fears on Him and genuinely seek Him with all our hearts. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS:
In every prospect to fear, there would always be a clear prospect to trust God.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Always abide in God and cast all your fears on Him.
PRAYER:
O LORD, give me the grace to live peace not in fear, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD:
May the floodgate of peace be opened in your life and yours, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
