WAYS TO BE TOTALLY COMMITTED TO GOD
TIMES OF REFRESHING
ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL by Obiorah Prince Emeka
DATE: MONDAY 26 OCTOBER 2020
It should be the desire and longing of every Christian to live a life that is totally committed to God. One of the best ways to show our sincere reverence to God is through our genuine commitment.
Having established that the excellence and brilliance of one’s destiny is determined by the quality of his commitment to God. Now let us discuss ways to be completely committed to God.
SCRIPTURE:
Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you, (Psalm 37:5) NLT
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
Releasing control and ownership of our lives and transferring it to Christ bring eternal life and genuine joy.
Our anchor scripture demonstrates that to commit ourselves to the Lord means to trust in Him, commending everything—our lives, families, jobs, possessions—to His control and guidance. And believing that He can care for us better than we can ourselves. It means we should be willing to wait patiently for God to work out what is best for us.
WAYS TO BE TOTALLY COMMITTED TO GOD
1. Commit to His callings upon your life; (Rom. 1:6), and to Kingdom assignments, (Matt. 6:33).
2. Commit to praising God daily, (Ps 61:8).
3. Commit to making God your priority, (John 12:25); We should be so committed in living for Christ that we should care nothing for our lives by comparison. We must disown the tyrannical rule of our own self-centeredness. By laying aside our striving for self-gain.
4. Commit to your day-to-day spiritual walk with Him, (Heb. 12:2).
Beloved, how we live shows our commitment to God, and God wants our total commitment, so let us be meticulous about our commitment to Him. Remember He is so deserving of our very best. Therefore, make it a point to please Him daily. Stay Lifted!
