Yesterday, by the mercies of God, we began to study the practical ways of living abundant life in Christ; and we saw relationship, today we shall be looking at “study”.
SCRIPTURE: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15) KJV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, the next practical way of living abundant life in Christ is ‘study’. When we have initiated a personal relationship with Christ, it’s very necessary, we devote a quality time to studying the Scripture. There are certain body of truth and great insights into living abundant life in Christ that can only be accessible through the study of the Word (Jer. 33:3). Reading the Bible is good, but studying the Bible enables us to learn deep nuggets of truth that are hidden therein. It uncovers sure knowledge about our life and provides absolute ways we can bring them into reality.
So now, how do we engage ourselves in a meaningful study? We need to invest in a good Bible handbook that shares basic knowledge of the events that happened during the biblical times, a good study Bible with commentaries, Bible dictionary and concordance. These tools will help us in a great way to have a good study. Though they may be a bit expensive, but we can as well access them on the internet. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: There are certain body of truth and great insights into living abundant life in Christ that can only be accessible through the study of the Word.
RESPONSIBILITY: Make deliberate efforts to study. Don’t allow a day to pass you by without studying at least a few verses of the Bible.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace and sincere desire to study your Word daily, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you devote to study the Word, may you gain rich insights that will establish your life in abundance, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
